If you’ve been wondering where to get these beautiful bandeau set’s you see all over tumblr, you can find them on Etsy and they’re made by Amorouse. I want one just so bad! But (in my opinion) they’re a bit expensive, so beware.

I don’t think I’ve bought anything by Wet ‘n’ Wild since about middle school, but yesterday I found this lipstick at CVS and it’s actually amazing. It goes on smooth and the color really pops, plus it’s kind of matte. I got it in 'Think Pink’ (the color smear above) and it is just the color I’ve been looking for because it’s matte enough so that you actually see the pink. They have a whole bunch of different colors from nude to bright red to even coral and purple! I’m sure they’ll have a shade for you!

How to Make Your Own Rose Water Toner

Rose water and rose water toner came up a lot in our ’More Beauty Tips From Around the World’ post. You can buy it online or at an organic store, but it is also easily made at home.

All you need are:

  1. Dried rose hips (found at a health food store)
  2. Distilled or filtered water
  3. a spray bottle
  4. Cheesecloth or some form of strainer

All you need to do is:

  • put about half a cup of rose hips in a container
  • pour hot water into the container
  • let stand for about 1-2 hours
  • strain the water out into your spray bottle.

Rose water can be used on all skin types.

It helps with:

  • soothing
  • nourishing
  • toning
  • rejuvenating
  • heal sunburns and wounds
  • balance your skin
  • It can also help set your make up if you want a dewey look

I just have to tell the world about this. Goldbond Softening lotion is simply amazing. It actually works. I have, well had, really rough elbows and heels and I used this (and I started using the matching body wash, too) everyday and my skin is so soft now. For a while I would go around asking all my friends to touch my elbows! I even use it on my lips sometimes! I would recommend this to anyone! It’s super thick, so if you have dry skin (like I do) it’s amazing for a once a week/month treatment when your regular lotion isn’t cutting it.

Seriously, buy it. It’s worth it. To me (I hate spending money) it’s a little expensive, but it’s worth it!

You can find both the lotion and the body wash at either a supermarket or a drug store.

More Beauty Tips from Around the World

Greece: smooth skin

  • To hydrate and smooth your skin, combine plain, unflavored yogurt mixed with ground almonds to your face as a paste. Rise off with rosewater and your face should be hydrated, smooth and moisturized. The best part is, all these ingredients can be found in your kitchen or at your local grocery store!

India: clear skin

  • In India, sandalwood is used in two ways to fight acne: one in a paste, the other a mask.
  • The paste is made by combining 1 Tablespoon sandalwood powder (which can be found at smallflower.com), 1 Tablespoon on Turmeric powder, and 1 tablespoon of water. Stir together until a paste is formed. Put this paste on pimples and wear overnight.
  • The facial mask is a similar process. Combine ¼ cup of rose water and 2 Tablespoons of sandalwood powder, mix until a paste is formed and apply it to your face. Leave for 15-20 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.

Dominican Republic: moisturize dry hair

  • For healthy, moisturized hair mash 2 avocados in a bowl, add about a Tablespoons of olive oil. Apply this mixture to your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Leave this on for 30 minutes. For best results, sit under a hair dryer (like the ones at a salon) for 20-30 minutes. After the time is up, rise out and wash your hair normally.

Morocco: silky smooth hair

  • Apply Moroccan oil to dry hair and leave in overnight. To give the oil a beautiful scent, heat it up and add lavender. In the morning, wash and rinse your hair as normal. The Moroccan oil protects, moisturizes, and conditions your hair to leave it silky, smooth, and soft.

Algeria: thicker brows and eyelashes

  • Dip a Q-tip is castor oil and apply a think layer over eyebrows and lash base. Do this every night and you will see results is a couple weeks.
